In the main station building we demolished the old and the construction of a new station building at forecourt level with DDA compliant access to platform 1. Station building includes a booking hall with external canopy to forecourt, two ticket windows, one DDA compliant, staff w/c & mess facilities, customer toilets, provision for retail kiosk approx 200sqft, TVM, retail vending machine and ATM.

On the station forecourt a revised forecourt and drop-off point in line with new station building and the provision of a consolidated bicycle and motorbike storage facilities within the newly configured forecourt.

On the platforms, widening of platform 1 and the provision of a large waiting shelter. Full refurbishment of the island platform 2/3 building, to house larger waiting room, drivers mess room, Station Supervisor's office and improved customer toilet facility.
